A genuine request to organize Convocation Ceremony for the 2022 and Upcoming Batches

Dear Alumni,
I hope you all are doing well in your life. I am Nishant Jaiswal, from EE’22 Batch and recently graduated from IET.
Well! This is my first post on this platform and that too on the Convocation of 2022 and upcoming batches because this is one of the major issues and no one even tried to discuss it.
I remember the grand event Convergence’18- The Annual Alumni Meet of IET Lucknow for the batch of '93. It was the very first event for the Batch of 2022 in IET and we’re very optimistic about this alumni meet. The point of view to share this incident is, in that Alumni Meet, one of our Alumnus from the batch of 1989-93 announced in the IET Auditorium that the IET Administration and Alumni Association are planning to organize Convocation Event for the upcoming batches as most of the premium institutes organize. I noted this statement and discussed it with my seniors of the '20 and '21 batches, they were very optimistic about this statement and so was I.
But, Now four years down the line, the batch of '19, '20, '21, and '22 passed out from college even without a college farewell, forget about the Convocation.! :slightly_smiling_face:

With this post, I just want to raise 2-3 questions on this platform, and I would love to hear from you all :

  1. As an Alumni Association, are we not in a position to organize or convince IET Administration for the Convocation Ceremony?

  2. Is it a big ask of students and what does it take to organize a Convocation Ceremony?

  3. Was it even held in the glorious history of IET? If No, Why so?
