Minutes of the General Body Meeting IETLAA December 3, 2023

Minutes of Meeting of GBM held on December 3, 2023

  1. The General Body Meeting took place virtually on December 3, 2023, with all the members participating online. List of members who attended the GBM is placed at Annexure-1.

  2. The meeting was attended by 45 IETLAA members including the Executive Committee (EC) Members mentioned below :

• Shri Navin Kumar, President, @Navin6133

• Shri Nitish Sinha, Vice President, @Nitish1018

• Shri Madhup Singh Yadav, Treasurer, @Madhup881

• Shri Kaushalendra Dhar Dwivedi, Secretary I. @Kaushalendra5994

The quorum for the meeting was complete, exceeding the minimum limit of 30 members as prescribed in the IETLAA Constitution.

  1. Shri Navin Kumar, President of IETLAA, commenced the meeting by briefing the members on the vision and activities undertaken by the Association.

  2. The following agenda items were discussed during the GBM:

a) The President informed the General body about the resignation of the General Secretary IETLAA. On further queries by members, the General Body was also briefed on reasons for resignation and its acceptance by the President.

b) Advisory Committee of IETLAA was also informed about the resignation and were asked to initiate necessary action for filling up the vacancy since the remaining tenure of current EC is more than 6 months .

c) The role and administration of the WhatsApp group formed by EC members (both previous and current) was deliberated upon. It was decided that the IET alumni worldwide group was established for broader outreach, while local chapters were created for general broadcasting to connect alumni globally with the vision of IETLAA. It was also decided that data privacy related to whatsapp details is the responsibility of concerned Whatsapp group members.

d) Sh. Shivam Patel briefed the members about the importance of data and data privacy in the current scenario. Sh. Shivam Patel also briefed the members about the measures taken to protect data breach on alumni website and database.

  1. Members expressed their appreciation towards the vision and efforts of the EC, pledging their support.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from President, IETLAA.
