Samavartana the story

Story starts with awesome Nishant Jaiswal (EE-2022) @Nishant1648 who initiated a request on October 2, 2022, on this very discourse, which marked his first post on discourse.iethub.org. The request pertained to organizing a convocation ceremony for the 2022 and upcoming batches. This topic was selected for discussion during the next General Body Meeting (GBM) of IETLAA scheduled for October 30, 2022.

Following persistent and diligent efforts by IETLAA over 1.5 years, coupled with ongoing persuasion of the IET college authorities, the event is finally set to take place on March 30, 2024. All Alumni were cordially invited. This event had free entry for Lifetime Members.

Samavartana 2024: A Magnificent Culmination of Academic Achievement

The prestigious Samavartana 2024 event at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) commenced with a solemn tribute to the esteemed faculty members, recognizing and honoring their dedication and commitment at the beginning of this memorable occasion.

Following this, a spiritual ambiance filled the air as the traditional lighting of the diya coincided with the melodious rendition of Saraswati Vandana. Distinguished dignitaries graced the diyas, illuminating it with their presence and symbolizing the enlightenment that education brings.

Dr. Vineet Kansal, the esteemed Director of IET, took center stage to deliver an inspiring speech, officially inaugurating Samavartan and setting the tone for the event. A warm welcome address by the President of IETLAA (Institute of Engineering and Technology Lucknow Alumni Association) resonated with pride and nostalgia, marking the reunion of past and present members of the IET family.

The event gained further eminence with the presence of Mr. Yatish Katheria, Deputy Director General of the Department of Telecom, who graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. His insightful address bridged the gap between academia and industry, inspiring both faculties and students alike, especially the bright minds of batch 2023.

Dr. D.S. Yadav, the Dean of Alumni, captivated the audience with his words of wisdom, reminiscing about the journey of IET and its alumni. Following suit, the Director of IET, Lucknow, shared his vision and guidance, inspiring all present with his profound insights.

As the event progressed, the Vice President invited Mr. Vineet Kansal, the Director of IET, to initiate the Ceremony of Degree Conferment. With utmost solemnity, Heads of Departments and distinguished faculties ascended the stage to confer degrees upon the deserving students, marking the culmination of their academic journey.

Expressing gratitude and appreciation, the Registrar of IET delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts that made Samavartana a resounding success. With the declaration of Samavartana’s closure by the Director, the audience rose in unison for the national anthem, symbolizing their allegiance to their nation and alma mater.

The conclusion of the formal proceedings ushered in a joyous atmosphere as attendees exited the auditorium for refreshments and to capture cherished memories through photographs. Samavartana 2024 served as a testament to the spirit of academic excellence and camaraderie that defines the IET community, leaving an indelible mark on all those who were part of this unforgettable celebration.
